
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Three Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference women's tennis programs sit atop the league standings undefeated in conference play.
Franklin College traveled to Manchester on Sunday and gained an 8-1 victory, while Transylvania defeated Rose-Hulman 7-2 on Saturday.
Hanover College (3-0, 2-0 HCAC) also sits at the top of the standings after defeating Earlham and Oakland City in 9-0 victories last week. The Panthers junior Meghan Farrell was a perfect 4-0 in doubles and singles play combined. In singles play, Farrell went 2-0 in the No. 2 spot winning both matches by a count of 6-0, 6-0. The junior added an 8-0 win at No. 1 doubles against Earlham and an 8-1 decision in the same spot versus Oakland City.
Rose-Hulman and Anderson also picked up HCAC wins last week against Mount St. Joseph. The Fightin' Engineers defeated the Lions 6-3, while the Ravens claimed a 9-0 victory over the Mount.
