Franklin sophomore Brynna Sentel (Sullivan, Ill. / Sullivan) has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Swimming Athlete of the Week.
Sentel won three individual races and was a part of one winning relay team for Franklin on Friday night at Illinois Wesleyan. The sophomore started off the night by swimming the opening leg of Franklin’s winning 200 medley relay team that won by nearly five seconds with a time of 1:49.33.
Sentel also placed first in the 1,000 freestyle (10:41.79), 500 freestyle (5:13.59) and the 200 individual medley (2:12.17). Franklin finished the regular season with a 13-0 record in dual meets.
The Franklin Grizzlies women’s swimming and diving team will be back in action at the HCAC Swimming & Diving Championships on February 14-16.
