Franklin's Fleet, MSJ's Autenrieb & Hanover's Carmosino Headline Women's Soccer All-HCAC

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Franklin College's Maddie Fleet (Indianapolis, Ind. / Perry Meridian) and Mount St. Joseph's Stefanie Autenrieb (Cincinnati, Ohio / Seton) have been named the 2018 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference women's soccer Offensive and Defensive Most Valuable Players.

Fleet, a senior forward, anchored a Grizzly offense that finished fifth in the conference standings this year. Autenrieb helped guide the Lions to a second place finish in the conference standings and the HCAC women's soccer tournament title. 

Fleet led the Grizzlies offense during the season, totaling a HCAC-high 22 goals with four assists. The senior ranks in the top ten nationally in total goals and in the top 15 in total points (49).  

Autenrieb, a junior defensive mid for Mount St. Joseph, was solid all fall for the Lions. The junior led the Mount defense which allowed only 16 goals surrendered, including only eight goals allowed during league play. The Lions defense also tallied 10 shutouts this season along with a 0.73 goals-against average.

Hanover College's freshman goalkeeper Amanda Carmosino (Noblesville, Ind. / Noblesville) has been tabbed as the Freshman of the Year for the 2018 season. Carmosino posted a 0.41 goals-against average and a .883 save percentage for the Panthers this season. The freshman was a part of all 10 of Hanover's shutouts this season.

Hanover College head coach Jim Watts has been named the 2018 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Coach of the Year. Watts led the Panthers to a 17-2 overall record and a 9-0 mark in league play. Hanover placed at the top of the league standings this season and was ranked as high as 14th nationally during the regular season. The award is Watts' fifth in his career.

Joining Fleet, Autenrieb, and Carmosino on the First-Team All-HCAC are: Hanover's Brandi Brock, Cassidy Evanson, and Shannon Hawkins; Mount St. Joseph's Kaylan Gruber and Taylor Murphy; Rose-Hulman's Samantha Jacobs and Jessica Wells; Transylvania's Ashley Chindo, Morgan Fowler and Annie Stauffer.

Offensive Most Valuable Player: Maddie Fleet, Franklin College

Defensive Most Valuable Player: Stefanie Autenrieb, Mount St. Joseph University

Freshman of the Year: Amanda Carmosino, Hanover College

Coach of the Year: Jim Watts, Hanover College
