INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- Three teams remain unbeaten at the top of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference women's soccer standings.
Hanover, 10-1 overall, continued its 10-game win streak last week after claiming two road wins at Franklin and Earlham. The Panthers' Maggie Day led the offensive attack with a total of five ponits for the week. On Wednesday night, the freshman had one assist as Hanover defeated Franklin, 4-2. Day then scored two of Hanover's three goals in a shutout win at Earlham on Saturday.
Mount St. Joseph University shutout Rose-Hulman on Wednesday with a 4-0 victory on the road. On Saturday, the Lions came to a 1-1 homecoming draw against Anderson. Goalkeeper Maddie Muterspaw delivered a three save shutout against Rose-Hulman on Wednesday.
The sophomore also registered three saves against Anderson, allowing one goal, while playing all 110 minutes of the draw. For the week, Muterspaw saved six of the seven shots she faced for a .857 save percentage.
The Transylvania women's soccer team climbed the team leaderboard after defeating Earlham 4-0 and Manchester 6-0 last week. In an offensive powered week for the Pioneers, midfielder Abby Baker led the squad with two goals and one assist in the victories.
