GREENWOOD, IN - The Manchester University women's soccer team set a new school record for goals in a single game last week as the Spartans finished with a 3-0 record. The Spartans (3-1-1, 0-0 HCAC) beat Trine, Kentucky Christian, and Muskingum, scoring a new school record 10 goals against KCU.
Junior forward Katelyn Barta (Griffith, Ind./H.S.) ended the week with five goals and four assists to lead the black and gold.
Barta scored two goals, including the game-winning goals, in both matches against Trine and Kentucky Christian and added another goal and an assist in a win over previously unbeaten Muskingum.
In the 10-0 win over KCU, Barta totaled seven points with two goals and three assists.
Manchester will travel to Goshen Wednesday and play host to Thomas More Sunday.

Hanover moved to 4-0 on the season with a pair of 2-1 home wins over regionally ranked Wittenberg and Otterbein. Hanover is currently ranked No. 3 in the latest NSCAA/Adidas Great Lakes Regional Rankings. The Panthers will travel to Centre and Spalding this week.
Transylvania University improved to 2-1 on the young season, defeating Covenant and Kenyon in Lexington over the weekend. Senior Abby Felthaus (Florence, Ky./St. Henry) scored a goal with two assists in a 3-0 shutout win over Covenant and added the game's only goal in a 1-0 win over Kenyon. This Pioneers enter the NSCAA/Adidas Great Lakes Regional Rankings at No. 9 this week.
