KANSAS CITY, KS - The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference placed seven women's soccer players on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America's All-Great Lakes Region team in a vote of NCAA Division III coaches.
Hanover College's Rachel Alvis (Cincinnati, Ohio) and Anna Cornacchione (Cincinnati, Ohio) represented the conference on the first team. Cornacchione was named the HCAC Offensive MVP for her efforts this fall, while Alvis earned First-Team All-HCAC honors.
Rose-Hulman's Lucinda Combs (Danville, Ky.), Hanover's Paige Byers (Noblesville, Ind.), and Transylvania University's Anne Marie Dumaine (California, Ky.) and Amy Ghibaudy (Lexington, Ky.) earned the conference's spots on the second team. Combs earned the HCAC Defensive MVP honor, while Ghibaudy shared HCAC Offensive MVP honors with HC's Cornacchione.
Manchester University's Emily Willmann (Montpelier, Ind.) was named as a third team member.
A total of 36 players were selected for the All-Great Lakes Region team.
