INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- The HCLC women's lacrosse title match has been set after a midweek night of action on Wednesday. No. 1 Transylvania and No. 3 Hanover advance to Saturday's title match Lexington, Ky. after claiming victories in the semifinal round.
Top seed Transylvania claimed a 25-0 win over No. 4 Mount St. Joseph on Wednesday evening. Transy's Salem Carlow registered six goals while Courtney Pontious added four goals in the victory for the Pioneers. Transylvania advances to the conference championship game on Saturday for the second straight year.
Hanover earned a 16-4 victory over No. 2 seed Earlham on Wednesday night. Hanover's Emma Boomershine led the way for the Panthers with seven goals in the win. The Panthers advance to its first conference tournament championship game since the inception of women's lacrosse.
With their win as the top seed, Transylvania has earned the right to host Hanover in the HCLC championship match at 4 p.m. Saturday. The winner will receive the HCLC's automatic bid to the 2019 NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Tournament.
