GREENWOOD, IN - Hanover College earned the title at the Hanover Invitational over the weekend as all eight HCAC women's golf squads participated. The Panthers held off Marian (IN) University by six strokes to earn the team title.
Hanover junior Brooke McKay (Carmel, Ind./H.S.) earned medalist honors at the event with rounds of 76 and 72, setting a new Hanover 18 and 36-hole record in the process.
As a team, Hanover finished with a total of 650.
Rose-Hulman finished third in the team standings with a total of 666. Freshman Peem Chanrotchanaphan (Chaing Mai, Thailand/Grace International) led the Engineers with rounds of 78 and 85 to finish fourth.
Franklin finished fourth in the standings over the weekend. Corie Walton (Avon, Ind./Cardinal Ritter) also placed fourth in the individual standings with a total of 163 (80-83) to lead the Grizzlies.
Transylvania, Mount St. Joseph, Anderson, Manchester, and Defiance rounded out the team standings.
This week, all eight conference squads will hit the links at various invitationals.
