Hanover junior forward Alexis Nall (North Vernon, Ind. / Mount Vernon) has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Nall opened the week with the conference's first 30-point, 20-rebound game of the season, as Hanover defeated MSJ at home 74-61. In the win, the junior shot over 75 percent from the field, making 13-of-17 shots, while grabbing a career-high 20 rebounds.
In the regular season finale, Nall tallied 13 points and 11 rebounds to go along with five steals and a career-high three blocked shots in 25 minutes of action. For the week, the junior averaged 21.5 points, 15.5 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 2.5 blocks per game, all while shooting 69.2 percent from the field and 80.0 percent from three-point range.
The Hanover Panthers (18-7, 14-4 HCAC) will host Bluffton on Tuesday, February 19 at 7:30 p.m. in the opening round of the HCAC Women’s Basketball Tournament.
