Transylvania University’s Madisen Webb (Georgetown, Ky./Scott Co.) recorded her first career triple-double during the week and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
The senior guard racked up 16 points, 12 assists, and 10 rebounds to post a triple-double in the Pioneers 103-91 win over Hanover. The triple-double was the first in the conference since 2011 and the 12 assists tied a single-game conference record.
Webb led the Pioneers to an 11th straight win with 12 points, four rebounds, and five assists in a 75-63 win over Manchester.
For the week, Webb averaged 14.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 8.5 assists per game as Transy took over sole position of first place in the league standings.
Transylvania (12-1, 6-0 HCAC) will play host to Earlham and Bluffton this week.
