Brooke Ruffer, Bluffton University, Women's Basketball

Bluffton University’s Brooke Ruffer (Stryker, Ohio/H.S.) helped the Beavers secure the No. 4 seed in this week’s HCAC tournament and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week. 

The sophomore forward posted back-to-back double-doubles during the week against Transylvania and Earlham.  Ruffer tallied 22 points with 10 rebounds in an 85-73 loss to Transylvania and added 18 points with 14 rebounds in an 86-77 win over Earlham. 

For the week, Ruffer averaged 20.0 points, 12.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game, while shooting 55.2% from the field. 

Bluffton (14-11, 10-8 HCAC) will open HCAC tournament play on Friday against Manchester in Lexington, Kentucky.
