INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- The Rose-Hulman women's basketball team remains undefeated in conference play at the top of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference standings.
Fightin' Engineer Ally Bromenschenkel tallied 24 points and 18 rebounds in the Fightin' Engineers 51-21 road victory on Saturday. The senior hit 57 percent from the field (8-of-14) and 88 percent on the free throw line (7-of-8) in the performance. Rose-Hulman heads into the holiday break with a conference record 38-game winning streak against HCAC opposition.
The Transylvania Pioneers defeated Anderson 47-82 on Saturday in the lone game of the week. The Pios were led by guard Ashton Woodard with 20 points and seven rebounds, while Zenoviah Walker added 12 points, five assists and three steals in the victory.
In a 73-61 win over Defiance, the Hanover Panthers Alexis Nall recorded her third double-double of the season. The junior led the team with 17 points and 13 rebounds with a 75 field goal percentage. The Panthers had three others score in double figures; Claire Cromer (15), Maleha Motter (12) and Katie Hartman (10).
Four women's basketball teams currently sit in a tie for fourth place in the conference standings with a 2-2 HCAC record. Conference action will pick back up after the holiday break on January 2nd.
