Women's Basketball Report (Week 5) - Manchester Moves to 3-0 in HCAC Play
GREENWOOD, IN - Manchester University (5-3, 3-0 HCAC) saw its win streak reach four straight after a pair of wins last week. The Spartans moved to 3-0 in HCAC action behind a 61-42 win at Rose-Hulman Saturday and earned a non-league win at home over Trine, 57-41, Monday evening.
Senior forward Erynn Meiklejohn (Ft. Wayne, Ind./Concordia) scored 26 points in the win over Rose-Hulman Saturday. Meiklejohn set a career high with 26 points, shooting 9-for-10 from the field and 6-for-6 from the free throw line. She also added a pair of rebounds, three steals, and a block to her stat line.
Against Trine, Meiklejohn led the Spartans with 11 points and six rebounds as the Spartans defeated the Thunder.
Manchester will return to action on December 28 against Olivet at the Albion (MI) tournament.

Transylvania University (6-1, 3-0 HCAC) kept pace with Manchester in the standings thanks to a 65-59 win at Defiance Saturday.
Senior guard Madisen Webb (Georgetown, Ky./Scott Co.) scored 28 points to lead the Pioneers over the Jackets.
Transy set a new single game scoring record in a 117-100 win at home over Midway in the opening game of the Pat Deacon Classic Monday. Sophomore guard Katelyn Smith (Hazard, Ky./Perry Co. Central) led all scorers with 30 points on 10-of-13 shooting from the field.
Bluffton, Hanover, and Franklin all improved to 2-1 in conference play Saturday. The Beavers won at Anderson 73-62, while Hanover blitzed Earlham 92-65. Franklin bounced back from a loss to Bluffton to beat Mount St. Joseph 86-70.
