LEXINGTON, KY - Transylvania sophomore guard Nicole Coffman (Liberty, Ky./Casey Co.) has been named to the fourth-team Women's Division III News All-American team, released on Monday.
Coffman, who averaged 20.3 points per game to top the Pioneers, was named the Heartland Conference Most Valuable Player after leading Transy to a 21-6 record and to the league's regular season championship.
Coffman was also second in the HCAC in free throw percentage and she averaged 4.1 rebounds a game while shooting 43 percent from three-point range. She was the HCAC Freshman of the Year two years ago and was a first-team All-HCAC selection as a sophomore.
The Women's Division III News announced five All-American teams, and Coffman was the only HCAC player to be honored.
