GREENWOOD, Ind. - The Oberlin College Inter-Regionals Rumble meet was held on Saturday in Oberlin, Ohio, and Rose-Hulman led the three-team HCAC field with a sixth place finish out of the 31 team field.
Rose-Hulman's Alton Anspaugh (Shelbyville, Ind. / Shelbyville) and Matthew Stevenot (Hudson, Ohio / Hudson) led the Fightin' Engineers with top 20 finishes in a field featuring 264 runners. Anspuagh finished 18th in 25:56, with Stevenot placing 19th in 25:57.
Manchester senior Blake Harris (Fort Wayne, Ind. / Homestead) was the top league finisher and led the Spartans to a 20th place finish at Oberlin College's Inter-Regional Rumble on Saturday. The senior placed eighth and posted a time of 25:37 which is among Manchester's Top 15 8K times.
Bluffton also competed in the Rumble and finished behind Rose-Hulman and Manchester in 22nd place.
Six Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference teams traveled to Wilmington, Ohio on Friday to participate in the annual #JennaStrongFallClassic.
The field for the classic was filled with 30 participating teams and Hanover College led the HCAC teams with an eighth place finish. Anderson University finished 17th, Franklin placed 20th, and Mount St. Joseph (30th) rounded out the HCAC field. Transylvania and Defiance also participated at the meet and did not post a team score.
The Earlham Quakers competed in Glassboro, N.J. at the Inter-Regional Boarder Battle and finished in 18th place.
The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference men's cross country teams will not compete this weekend. The next time the HCAC will be in action will be at the HCAC Cross Country Championships hosted by Manchester University on October 28th.
