GREENWOOD, Ind. - The Greater Louisville Classic meet was held on Friday in Louisville, Kentucky, and Hanover led the three-team HCAC field with a sixth place finish.
Hanover College junior Jacob Hedrick (Memphis, Ind. / Henryville) finished second overall in the Silver Division race at the Greater Louisville Classic and won the "Other Division" section in the race. The junior posted an 8K time of 25:39.49 and placed second out of 400 runners in his race, which included two NCAA Division I and nine NCAA Division II schools.
Franklin and Manchester also competed in the Greater Louisville Classic. The Spartans finished 14th and the Grizzlies placed 21st at the meet.
Bluffton and Defiance participated in the All-Ohio Championships on Friday. The Beavers placed 14th out of 17 teams with a total of 389 points while Defiance finished 17th at the meet.
Rose-Hulman placed third in a field of nine teams at the H.W. Wright Millikin Classic. Sophomore Matthew Stevenot (Hudson, Ohio / Hudson) led the Fightin' Engineers with a 12th-place finish with ninth-fastest time in school history at 25:26.
Anderson and Earlham competed in the Pat Thomas Invitational in Richmond, Indiana. The Quakers recorded a first place finish with a score of 23, and the Ravens placed second with 33 points.
The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference women's cross country teams will not compete this weekend. On October 13th, the #JennaStong Fall Classic is taking place and on the following Saturday teams will be participating in the Oberlin College Inter-Regional Rumble.
