GREENWOOD, IN- The Manchester University men's cross country team finished fourth at the highly competitive Calvin Invitational on Saturday. The No. 29 ranked Spartans finished behind St. Francis (IL), Aquinas, and Calvin in the team standings.
Manchester’s Curtis Nordmann (Bourbon, Ind./H.S.) was the top HCAC finisher at the meet, placing 10th with a time of 25:21.7 on the 8K course. The effort was a top-five 8K time in Manchester school history and was also a new career best for Nordmann.
Bluffton and Defiance also competed at Calvin. The Beavers earned a 10th place finish in the team standings, while the Yellow Jackets finished 16th among the 27 squads.
Mount St. Joseph and Transylvania were in action down in Lexington at the University of Kentucky Invitational. MSJ placed eighth and Transy earned a ninth place finish among the nine schools.
This weekend's schedule is highlighted by the Indiana Little State meet Friday afternoon in Bloomington. Mount St. Joseph will run at the National Catholic Championships in South Bend Friday, while Bluffton, Defiance, and Transylvania will run at Otterbein Saturday.
