Men's Indoor T&F Report - Three Teams Compete at RHIT Friday Night Spikes
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Three Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference men's indoor track and field teams traveled to Terre Haute, Ind. to participate in the Rose-Hulman Friday Night Spikes Invite.
 
Rose-Hulman finished second in the four team meet behind nationally ranked Washington University. Fightin' Engineer Eric Fiacable won the weight throw (56' 6.5") with the No. 18 ranked performance in NCAA Division III this season to kick off the season at the Rose-Hulman Friday Night Spikes Opener. The senior also placed second in the shot put with a mark of 46' 2.5".
 
Hanover College placed third at the Rose-Hulman Friday Night Spikes Event with a team total of 17.0. Distance runner Jacob Hedrick opened his final indoor season by breaking the 24-year-old school record in the 3000-meter run with a time of 8:46.04. The senior placed fourth overall in the event at the Rose-Hulman Friday Night Spikes Invite, and was the first HCAC runner to cross the finish line by nearly 10 seconds.
 
The Manchester Spartans also participated in Terre Haute at Friday Night Spikes and placed fourth with a team total of seven points.

Also competing last week were Bluffton, Defiance, Franklin and Transylvania. All school's did not post a team score.
