GREENWOOD, IN - Rose-Hulman led the six competing HCAC schools at the Hanover Invitational Saturday afternoon. The Engineers placed second at the meet, finishing behind champion Wabash.
Rose-Hulman’s Tyler Hannan (Winchester, Ky./George Rogers Clark) led the Engineers at the meet as the senior helped the 4-x-400 meter relay team earn a first place finish with a time of 3:24.50. Hannan also placed second in the 400-meter dash with a mark of 49.34.
Manchester placed third in the standings and was followed by Hanover (4th), Franklin (6th), Mount St. Joseph (7th), and Transylvania (No Team Score).
Defiance and Bluffton were also in action over the weekend. The Jackets placed second in the standings, while the Beavers finished fourth.
DC’s Tom Postema (Defiance, Ohio/Tinora) earned titles in the hammer throw, shot put, and discus for the second consecutive week. The senior hurled distances of 52.91 meters in the discus, 58.02 meters in the hammer, and 15.89 meters in the shot put to lead the Jackets effort.
This weekend all 10 HCAC schools will be in action on the track.
