INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- Hanover College extended its win streak to six to remain undefeated atop the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference men's soccer standings.
On Thursday, the Panthers claimed a double overtime 2-1 win on the road at Rose-Hulman. Forward Josh Hughes led Hanover with both goals in the victory. The Hanover men's soccer team also defeated Bluffton 4-0 on Saturday.
Transylvania climbed to third in the conference standings last week after defeating Mount St. Joseph (6-2) on Wednesday and Defiance (2-1) on Saturday. The Pioneers were led by midfielder Jonathan Rase, the senior tallied one goal and two assists for four points in the victories last week.
The Defiance Yellow Jackets went 1-1 last week with the loss to Transy and a 2-1 double overtime win at Anderson on Wednesday. In the 106th minute of the contest, Adam Ordel found the back of the net with an assist from Jarren Casto to seal the victory.
Manchester garnered two shutout victories on the road against Franklin and Mount St. Joseph last week. Forward Drake DeWitt tallied three goals for six points. The senior booted six shots on goal for a .750 shots on goal percentage.
In goal for the Spartans, Justin Meredith garnered two shutout road victories last week for the Spartans. The senior faced 10 shots on goal with a 1.000 save percentage.
