Men's Soccer Weekly Report - Week 5


INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference men's soccer schedule kicked off last weekend. 

Rose-Hulman claimed two victories last week, including a 6-1 win against Bluffton on Saturday. The Fightin' Engineers goalkeeper Pascal Schlee contributed six total saves during the two victories.

In Hanover's only game last week, the Panthers defeated Manchester 3-0 at home. Midfielder Leonardo Bottura tallied two goals, while the Hanover defense allowed only one shot on goal for the Spartans in the matchup.

Defiance climbed the men's soccer standings after finishing 2-0 last week and claiming a 2-1 double overtime victory at Franklin on Saturday. Forward Adam Ordel delivered the game-winning goal in the 103rd minute of the contest.

The Yellow Jackets goalkeeper Clay Musgrave tallied 12 saves for the week, and recorded his 10th career shutout as the Yellow Jackets defeated Thiel 2-0 on Tuesday. The senior also contributed a 0.47 goals-against-average and a .923 save percentage last week.

The Mount St. Joseph (2-7-1) men's soccer team faced a 3-0 loss against Wabash before winning 3-2 over Earlham at home last week.
