GREENWOOD, IN - Franklin College finished the week with a 2-0 record, earning the squad's first two wins of the season. The Grizzlies (2-3-1, 0-0 HCAC) beat Wabash in overtime 3-2 and finished off MacMurray 5-1 on the road Saturday.
Freshman forward Antonio Gioe (Martinsville, Ind./Mooresville) led the Grizzlies offense during the week.
The freshman scored two goals in FC's 3-2 overtime win over Wabash Wednesday, scoring the tying and game-winning goals in the process.
Gioe added an assist in the 5-1 road victory over MacMurray on Saturday.
Franklin will travel to Case Western Reserve Saturday afternoon in its only action this week.
In other action...
Rose-Hulman finished the week 1-0-1 after a pair of home matches. The Engineers (2-1-2, 0-0 HCAC) tied Greenville 0-0 after a pair of overtimes Wednesday and escaped Millikin with a 1-0 victory.
Junior goalkeeper Drew Miller (Cincinnati, Ohio/Bishop Fenwick) recorded two shutouts, posting four saves vs. Millikin and three saves against Greenville.
Rose will face Fontbonne and Centre on the road this week.
