Men's Soccer Report (Week 5) - Earlham Earns 2-0 Win over Wittenberg

GREENWOOD, IN - Earlham College finished the week 1-1, including a 2-0 win over Wittenberg.  The Quakers (4-6, 0-0 HCAC) closed out the non-league schedule with a 2-0 win at home against Wittenberg and a 3-2 defeat at Otterbein.

Earlham's Felician Muyumba (Lexington, Ky./Tates Creek) scored a goal with an assist in EC's win over Wittenberg and added another goal in a 3-2 loss to Otterbein. 

The Quakers will open conference play at home against Franklin Saturday afternoon.

In other action...

Transylvania University finished in a 1-1 draw at Maryville (TN) in its only action last week.  The Pioneers (6-2-1, 0-0 HCAC) closed the non-league portion of the schedule with the best overall record in the HCAC.

Transy will open the league schedule at Anderson Saturday afternoon.

Defiance College played a couple of tough home matches last week to close out the non-league schedule.  The Yellow Jackets (5-5, 0-0 HCAC) fell to regionally ranked Ohio Northern 1-0 on Tuesday and bounced back to beat Baldwin Wallace 2-1 over the weekend. 

Junior forward Kevin Arriola (New Lebanon, Ohio/Dixie) scored both goals in DC's win over Baldwin Wallace Saturday.
