INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- The HCLC men's lacrosse title match has been set after a midweek night of action on Wednesday. No. 1 Transylvania and No. 2 Hanover advance to Saturday's title match Lexington, Ky. after claiming victories in the semifinal round.
Top seed Transylvania claimed a 29-0 win over No. 4 Mount St. Joseph on Wednesday afternoon. Pioneers Bryce Lowe and Trenton Sneed registered five goals and two assists each in the semiefinal victory on Wednesday afternoon. Transylvania advances to the conference championship game on Saturday for the fourth straight year.
Hanover earned a 22-6 victory over No. 3 seed Earlham on Wednesday afternoon. The Panthers Ian Kimmins tallied six goals and one assist, while Hanover totaled 56 ground balls and 17 caused turnovers as a team in the win. Hanover advances to its first conference tournament championship game since the inception of men's lacrosse.
With their win as the top seed, Transylvania has earned the right to host Hanover in the HCLC championship match at 1 p.m. Saturday. The winner will receive the HCLC's automatic bid to the 2019 NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Tournament.
