Men's Golf Weekly Report - Week 2
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Five Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference men's golf teams were in action last weekend.
 
Franklin, Hanover and Manchester traveled to Florence, Ind. to compete in the Battle at Belterra. The Grizzlies jumped three spots in the team standings and dropped 11 shots off their score from day one to win the event with a 607 (309-298), the team's first win of the year. 
 
Franklin's Jackson Williams earned his fourth career medalist honor and second of 2018-19 with a win at this weekend's Battle at Belterra. The junior recorded a two-day score of 145 (74-71) to win the event by one shot, and was the only player on Sunday to finish under par. 
 
Hanover placed just four strokes behind the Grizzlies for a second place finish, while the Manchester Spartans placed eighth in the Battle at Belterra last weekend.
 
Transylvania participated in the Camp Lejeune Invitational on Friday through Sunday, while the Mount St. Joseph Lions traveled to the Illinois Wesleyan Spring Invitational on Friday and Saturday last week.
 
Transy senior Blake Young carded a three-under par 67 in Round 2 of the Camp Lejeune Invitational on Saturday. The 67 by Young was a career-best and the fourth-lowest score by a Pioneer individual ever, three players have carded a 66 in program history.
