Cam Fails, Hanover, Men's Basketball

Hanover senior guard Cam Fails (Cincinnati, Ohio / Kings) has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.

Fails posted a pair of team-high scoring performances as the Panthers went 1-1 last week. In a 57-54 loss to Ohio Wesleyan on Wednesday, Fails registered 19 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals. In the HCAC opener against Franklin, the senior tallied a season-high 22 points, and tied a season-high in rebounds (5) and assists (6).

Fails also recorded a season-best five steals in the 75-58 win against the Grizzlies. For the week, the senior averaged 20.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 3.5 steals per game.

The Hanover Panthers (4-2, 1-0 HCAC) will host Transylvania on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. before traveling to Bluffton on Saturday at 3 p.m.
