INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- Bluffton University and Hanover College lead the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference men's basketball standings with a 3-1 overall record.
The Beavers are one a three game win streak after defeating Hiram and Heidelberg last week. Bluffton guard Andrew Renner averaged 21.0 points per game and 12.5 rebounds per game in the two victories last week. Four Bluffton players are averaging double digit points per game through the first four games of the season.
Mount St. Joseph senior Jake Cropper led the Lions to their first win of the season with a career-high 38 points and 11 rebounds in the 83-56 victory against Waynesburg. For the week, the senior averaged 29.5 points per game on 53.6 percent from the field and 8.5 rebounds per game. Cropper also contributed a 50.0 percent average from behind the arc while drilling 22 of his 26 free throws attempted.
