INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- Franklin College remains undefeated in conference play at the top of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference football standings.

The Franklin College Grizzlies claimed a tight 28-24 battle at home against Bluffton on Saturday. Franklin's run game was untouchable with 135 yards rushing. Running backs Austin Grunden and Braden Smith each contributed two touchdowns apiece and 121 yards combined in the victory for the Grizzlies.

The Franklin defense was led by Bryce Hale, the junior tallied seven solo tackles, one sack, three tackles for loss, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and one pass breakup in the matchup.

The Mount St. Joseph Lions host Anderson and claimed a 45-6 win over the Ravens last weekend. The Lions wide receiver A.J. Glines contributed 244 yards on 13 receptions with three touchdowns in the victory. All three touchdowns came from distances of 58, 53 and 24 yards in the matchup The senior currently holds the single-season record for receptions at the Mount during the 2018 campaign.

Hanover College claimed a 29-14 victory on Saturday at home against Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. The Panthers tallied 330 total offensive yards compared to the Fightin' Engineers 239. Hanover's defensive effort was led by senior Brody Dell. The defensive back led the team with 13 tackles, five solo, and added two interceptions and a forced fumble in the victory. The Panther defense allowed just 61 yards of total offense in the second half of the matchup

Defiance College picked up its first win of the season with a 28-10 victory on the road at Earlham on Saturday. The Yellow Jackets running back Corey Bennett posted his best performance of the year registering 131 yards rushing last weekend. The senior paced an offense that produced a season-best 406 yards of total offense in the win.
