Rose-Hulman pitcher Luke Buehler pitched 8.0 shutout innings and allowed just four hits with nine strikeouts to help Rose-Hulman defeat Transylvania 4-0, as the Fightin' Engineers completed a perfect 4-0 week against the HCAC to improve to 6-0 in conference play.
Trevor Dallio also tossed 6.2 shutout innings and Trever Bruno tossed 7.1 shutout innings in wins during the best pitching week RHIT has had against league competition in a decade.
In five games for the Anderson Ravens last week, Joe Moran went 10-for-22 at the plate with two doubles and two home runs. The junior first baseman added nine RBI with a .455 batting average and .818 slugging percentage for the week. In the 4-1 week for Anderson, Moran also added three stolen bases to the stat line.
Franklin's Brandy Pawley registered a .643 batting average while extending his hitting streak to six games and helping Franklin go 3-1 last week. The junior infielder knocked in five runs, scored six times and slugged .714 over 14 at-bats in four games for the Grizzlies. In a sweep against Manchester on Saturday, Pawley recorded three hits, drove in three runs and scored three times.
